Fall Capital and Lowercase Alphabet Crafts


A is for Apple Capital and Lowercase Letter Craft

Most apples are in season from late summer to fall. If you are able, pick a few apples with your child, or make a tasty apple pie together.

What You Need for this Craft:

  • 2 green pieces of paper
  • red piece of paper for apples
  • brown marker for the stem
  • scissors
  • glue

Bats are often portrayed as silly, scary Halloween creatures. Tell your child some bat facts when you see the decorations go up. Bats eat mosquitoes and other insects. They are nocturnal and have amazing hearing which helps them to catch their food in the dark.

What You Need for this Craft:

  • 3 black pieces of paper for letters and wings
  • white chalk for the insides of the letters
  • paper towel to rub the chalk to a more even, lighter look
  • black marker for eyes, noes and ears
  • scissors

  • orange piece of paper for top of face (You could really use any color for this. We just thought orange was fall-ish.
  • pink piece of paper for inside the mouth
  • white squares of paper for the teeth
  • food cut-outs from magazines or newspaper ads
  • black marker for eyes and nose

Encouragement: Fall is a busy time of the year. I remember being overwhelmed one season because of all I had planned. That was silly of me. If we don't have time to get all the things we have planned done, it is okay. Life isn't really about doing it all, but about being intentional with what we have. Don't feel guilty. Love your babies.
